The National Sixth Form Conference on Monday 3 July 2006 will explore the spiritual and moral issues underlying global citizenship by focusing on three crucial issues highlighted by the Stop AIDS campaign: understanding the nature, causes, process and spread of HIV/AIDS; understanding stigma and discrimination; understanding effective advocacy and campaigning.

Live Caringly, designed for 5-7 year olds, considers the natural world; community; prejudice and stereotypes. A responsible global citizen has rights and responsibilities; takes action based on his / her developing beliefs and values; relates to others within interdependent, local, national and global communities. These packs provide flexible and imaginative ideas for teaching global citizenship within RE classes. Each pack investigates key topic areas and is supported by downloadable images and activity sheets. The units have been selected on the basis of topics that are core to both the religious education curriculum and the guidelines for citizenship education.
